What we do

Engineering Solutions provides a subcontract overmoulding service to the wider electronics industry. We are specialists in over moulding applications using the range of Henkel's excellent Macromelt products meeting UL94 V-0 requirements.
From the exacting standards of Medical and Industrial X-Ray equipment and the rigorous requirements from off-shore and airborne industries, to the precision necessary in aerospace, military and formula 1, we can provide good solutions for your applications.
With many years of service to the electronics industry, Engineering Solutions has the facilities for high volume work, as well as the flexibility and dedication for small or special batches and for prototype and development projects. Pre-encapsulation of electrical assemblies and cabling can also be undertaken if applicable.
We are also the UK distributor for the Cavist moulding machines that we use ourselves in-house and we are the UK distributor for Henkel's excellent macromelt plastic (polyamide) compounds that are used for, not only, overmoulding of cables and connectors, but also encapsulation and potting of sensitive electronic circuitry. We design and make the tooling and provide a piece-part over mould and test service for prototype and pre-production as well as for full production runs. What is good for us can also be good for you the customer - so when you want to take the subcontract work back in-house we can "hand over" the tooling and technology to you and help set up and train your personnel to use the process.

The Team

The team is versatile in engineering having expertise in mechanical, electrical and electronic disciplines. Computer programming, project management and communications complete the skill set. Starting in the mid 80s, the team became leaders in test engineering. In time, the parallel pursuit of reliability led to over-moulding as a strategy to insulate, waterproof, package and protect assemblies. Today, Engineering Solutions has clients in every major industrial sector, providing diverse solutions to a range of problems and increasingly, over-moulding assemblies in a wide range of innovative applications.
